Hi all,
This is a quick follow-up to the 2026.09 release, the first one under the name Verox. Thanks to everyone who updated and sent feedback. You found a few things that needed fixing, and there’s one new feature as well.
Verox Spinner, our Sendspin client and the way Music Assistant talks to Verox, gets volume control. You can choose between software and hardware volume, or leave it off, and set the volume Spinner starts at. Music Assistant now also shows the actual volume after a restart, instead of jumping to 100%.
Spinner also shows up properly in Music Assistant again. In 2026.09 it could end up hidden under the Squeezelite player, and when you switched Squeezelite off, the device disappeared from Music Assistant completely. That’s fixed: Spinner is listed as a player of its own.
There are a few other fixes. If your DAC was switched off while you saved the Services tab, its output could be set to ‘off’. Now the output stays selected and shows as ’not connected’. Switching off WiFi now really switches it off, and NTP servers provided by your network are no longer ignored.
The WiFi setup page, which you see when your device can’t find a network, has a new look. More of Verox’s remaining RoPieee branding has been replaced, and the French translation has been updated. Thank you, translators!
