Verox is an independent project, made and run by one person. This page explains what verox.audio and docs.verox.audio collect about you. It isn’t much.
Analytics
If you click Accept on the cookie banner, these sites load Google Analytics. It shows me which pages people visit, roughly which country they’re in, how they found the site and what kind of device they use, so I can see what’s useful and what isn’t. Google Analytics doesn’t log or store your IP address.
It sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_GSGVM6CLB8, which last up to two years. Google processes the data for me and keeps it for at most 14 months. See Google’s privacy policy for how Google handles it.
If you decline, or just ignore the banner, Google Analytics never loads and no analytics cookies are set.
Your choice
Your answer is saved in a small cookie called verox-cookie-consent, so you aren’t asked on every page. It covers both sites and lasts a year.
You can change your mind at any time: use Cookie settings here or at the bottom of any page. If you switch analytics off, its cookies are removed straight away.
Server logs
Like almost every web server, the one hosting these sites keeps a standard access log: your IP address, the time, the page or file you asked for, and what your browser says it is. I only use it to keep the server running and to spot abuse. Logs are deleted after about five weeks.
Donations
The donate page links to PayPal, Patreon and Buy Me a Coffee. If you donate, that happens on their sites and under their privacy policies. I only see what they pass on to me, such as your name and the amount.
The community forum
community.verox.audio has its own accounts and posts, and its own privacy page.
